Anomalies

Anomalies is the term used by the X-Series to describe other Transgenics that do not look human. The more proper term is Transhumans.

The nickname Nomalies was first used by a younger Ben when he used to tell the other X5s stories.

Genetic Enhancements

The anomalies were created during the early, often unsuccessful experiments of Project Manticore. The nickname comes from the fact that these creatures often developed anomalies, or unusual, unintended genetic features. Joshua, a human-canine experiment, was the first of his kind and was spared the fate that most anomalies suffered; imprisonment or execution. Due to their unusual strength, some anomalies are used as a labor force, digging entrenchments and moving heavy equipment and weapons for other transgenic units.
