Manticore is the organization that created the X5 series along with other X series'.
History
Founding
Manticore was founded by Sandeman. Sandeman created Manticore after having rejected the beliefs of an Ancient Breeding Cult. Not much else is known about Manticore's founding.
Work
Manticores work involved creating a superious human race of warriors. They created the X5 series and the Anomalies, superhumans that don't look entirely human. At some point they recruited Donald Lydecker, Elizabeth Renfro, and others to help with the training, creation, and monitoring their warriors.
'09 Escape
The 09 escape began when X5-452 was caught having a seizure, knowing what would happen to her a group of the X5s (about 21 of them) attempted to escape, Colonel Lydecker cut them off before being force to shoot X5-766 (Eva). After watching Eva get shot the other X5s were more determined to escape and they all made a run for it, as Lydecker led his men to find the escapees 12 escaped, 1 turned back at the last minute, 2 were killed, 3 were wounded and 2 were captured. Because of the 12 escapees Manticore was forced to increase the training on all remaining X5s and any future X series that would be created.
Searching
The escape at the Gillette, Wyoming in 2009 caused the start of a 10 year search lead by Lydecker to recover the 12 escaped X5s. Zack who had led the escape had worked meticulously during those 10 years to make sure that his brothers and sisters were kept safe and hidden from Manticore and Lydecker.
Destruction
