Manticore

Manticore is the organization that created the X5 series along with other X series'.

History

Founding

Manticore was founded by Sandeman. Sandeman created Manticore after having rejected the beliefs of an Ancient Breeding Cult. Not much else is known about Manticore's founding.

Work

Manticores work involved creating a superious human race of warriors. They created the X5 series and the Anomalies, superhumans that don't look entirely human. At some point they recruited Donald Lydecker, Elizabeth Renfro, and others to help with the training, creation, and monitoring their warriors.

'09 Escape

The escape of 12 young X5s during 2009 forced Manticore to increase the training of all the remaining X5s and other X series that had and would be created. The X5s escaped after X5-452 was caught having a seizure by a guard. Colonal Lydecker was forced to shot one the young X5s who were trying to escape. That night 3 were wounded and 2 killed once Lydecker and his men went to try and recapture the escapees.

Searching

The escape at the Gillette, Wyoming in 2009 caused the start of a 10 year search lead by Lydecker to recover the 12 escaped X5s. Zack who had led the escape had worked meticulously during those 10 years to make sure that his brothers and sisters were kept safe and hidden from Manticore and Lydecker.

Destruction

In 2020, X5-452 caused the destruction of Manticore after her recapture and second escape. During the destruction, all of the Anomalies along with every X-series transgenic that Mantocore had created was set free. Their escape, inevitably caused the public to know about the existance of Manticore, and fear and hate grew, especially against the anomalies. The transgentics in Seattle, along with others who lived outside the city, came together in Terminal City.
