Seth was a Manticore escapee. He was never mentioned or seen within the series, he was only seen in the Dark Angel novels.
Post-Escape
Seth had been working as an Logan Cale operative and just days before the start of the series, he ran into Max on the Space Needle and fell to his death to give Max a chance to escape from Manticore officials who were after them.
